East Region Training Days, 2012.
For instructors/coaches
We will hold two, or possibly three, Regional Training Days in 2012, for Instructors/Coaches based on the introduction of Showjumping as an RDA discipline. We are lucky to have Mike Butcher, Chairman of the RDA Showjumping Committee, as our coach for these days - at which he will also confirm the appointment of our Training Advisers and County Instructors, who attend these courses, as able to review Groups who include Levels 1 – 3 showjumping in their riding sessions. We hope that as many RDA Instructors will be able to attend so that we, in the East Region, continue to be in the forefront of this new initiative. These days will be:-
Monday, 2nd April, 2012 at Barrow Farm, Chelmsford, Essex. CM13QR
Friday, 8th June, 2012 at the Magpie Centre, Wallington, Kings Lynn, PE33OEP
If interest continues – at Gaddesden Place, Hemel Hempstead or Oaklands College, St. Albans.
County Training Days in the East Region, 2012
For new and established helpers
In 2012 each County will hold a local training day for volunteers. We do hope that all volunteer helpers will be able to represent their Groups in supporting their own County in this initiative. The programmes will be similar in each County and will be based on a better understanding of what is required from our helpers. Particular reference will be made to assessment of needs within a session. Included will be equine welfare, leading , sidewalking - and generally assisting the Instructor/coach through better communication and understanding. We hope this will benefit all concerned in an RDA session, especially our riders. Trustees are also invited to these training days. Dates as follows:-

Details of County Training Days will be forwarded to all Groups in the County by their County Chairman approximately 2 months before the due date. Any queries should be addressed to County Chairmen.
Details of Regional Showjumping Training Days will be forwarded to all Groups for their instructor/coaches by the Regional Instructors approximately 2 months before the due date. Any queries should be addressed to the Regional Instructors.
