WANTED – ENTHUSIASTIC VOLUNTEERS Providing the remedial benefits while teaching disabled children and adults to ride is a very labour-intensive job. As well as the Group Instructor, generally three volunteers are required for each rider – one to lead the pony and one walking on each side of the rider. The Shelley Centre is always on the look-out for volunteers who would be prepared to help with the lessons. It is not essential to have knowledge of horses, as the group organises training sessions for new and inexperienced helpers. Helpers do need to be enthusiastic and reliable. It is very rewarding work
If you would like to help or would like more information please contact the Centre.
